The Visionaire 70 Little West Street
Battery Park City, Cross Streets: Second Place & Third Place
The Visionaire nicely blends apartments, amenities and life-enhancing green benefits in an architecturally distinguished building overlooking the Statue of Liberty on the Hudson River
It was designed by renowned architects Pelli Clarke Pelli; their designs came about by how the building would be viewed from within, using natural light and taking advantage of the views. The contours are designed so views can be seen to the west and to the south, including the Hudson River, the Statue of Liberty and more.
The lobby displays natural light, creating a warm welcome. There is a 12-foot aquarium of tropical fish and aquatic plants that will entice children and adults alike. The 7th floor offers a lounge that features a natural gas fireplace, pool table, plasma TV and a separate room to watch movies or host your own events.
The fitness room has an indoor pool, cardio and weight equipment, spa with sauna massage and an aerobics room. The roof garden offers views of the river and beautiful sunsets. Outdoor events can be made on the roof deck with built-in grills and individual cabanas.
This NYC condominium is being developed as a public-private partnership with the Battery Park City Authority and will reserve 40,000 square feet as the new headquarters for the Battery Park City Parks Conservancy, which operates 32 acres of open public space in the neighborhood.
Every residence features hardwood floors and an open kitchen finished with natural materials. The kitchens in all the apartments have bamboo cabinets, river-washed absolute black granite counter tops and back-splashes made from bricks of art glass by Waterworks. The master baths are highlighted by teak cabinetry and Waterworks fittings. Inventive glass mosaic tiling compliments limestone floors to extend the modern organic feel.
