Gabrielle Hughes
Elegran's neighborhood news specialist, Gabrielle Hughes blogs about New York City current events and real estate news. Her favorite pieces concern neighborhood cultural development and neighborhood growth. As a child, Gabrielle grew up in an environment of consistent relocation, a unique experience that left her with an open mind and a deep appreciation of community and the arts -- traits that are perfectly suited to her work as a writer and neighborhood specialist. A three-year resident of NYC, she has built strong ties to Manhattan and appreciates the uniqueness of the city.
In addition to writing for Elegran, Gabrielle is a student at St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn, where she serves double duty as both a reporter and the first-ever student editor of her school newspaper, The Spirit. From learning to lead meditation after taking a Buddhism course, to studying abroad in London, Gabrielle is spending her undergraduate career taking advantage of all that her school offers. When she's not writing or studying, Gabrielle enjoys frequenting the city's music scene and taking long walks around Manhattan's diverse neighborhoods.
