Jarrod was born and raised in Clarksville, Tennessee, and received his undergraduate degree at Austin Peay State University. He currently lives in Soho, and enjoys Crossfit, playing golf, and tending to his investment real estate in Tennessee in his spare time.
We don’t know how to say enough good things about Jarrod. This was our first time buying real estate and it was also a wild market where open houses had waiting lists and places received multiple offers immediately. For many months, we’d meet up with Jarrod every weekend and walk from one apartment to the next. I was always ok with every apartment we saw, but Jarrod insisted that we should be in love with a place before we put in an offer. After looking at dozens and dozens of apartments we found our place. I was nervous-wreck about all the bank paperwork but Jarrod always found ways to calm my worries and explain everything step-by-step. He was above all extremely patient and kind. Jarrod is a super communicator and always made himself available immediately any time of day. He also connected us with our lawyer and our inspector, who all were easy and wonderful to work with as well. We wholeheartedly one-hundred-percent recommend him. We spent so much time with Jarrod and got to know him so well that we feel at this point we can consider him also a friend. He will be invited to our housewarming party. We are so so happy and very in love with our new place and feel we owe much of that to Jarrod’s guidance.Julia R.
I can't recommend Jarrod enough! I knew I no longer wanted to pay expensive NYC rent but wasn't sure what or where I wanted to buy. Jarrod helped me narrow it down and showed me a wide range of apartments in terms of size, price, and neighborhood. Jarrod was honest and alerted me to any problems he saw in the apartments, which is helpful as a first-time homebuyer. He also let me know if he felt apartments were overpriced. I never felt any pressure to put in an offer - which was much appreciated! When I did find an apartment I loved, I put in an offer. A few other offers came in, and the seller went to the best and final offers. Jarrod helped me navigate this by looking at comps and giving guidance on a fair, competitive offer. He didn't let me bid above what it was worth, reassuring me that we would find another great apartment if it wasn't meant to be. Again, I did not feel pressured to offer more than I originally had. He helped break down the situation but left the decision to me. I was thrilled that they accepted my offer!! Jarrod then helped walk me through the home inspection, appraisal, co-op board package, closing walk-through, closing, and a few weird things that were unique to my situation. He checked in every step of the way and continued to check in after I had closed to make sure everything was okay. My lawyer said he was the first realtor he had seen come to a closing in two years!! You won't find a more honest, patient, and kind realtor than Jarrod!Jenna L.
Throughout the whole process of buying our home — from initial research to closing — Jarrod Duncan was unbelievably helpful. As first time home-buyers, he was exactly who we needed to be working with, and without Jarrod the process would have simply been unbearable. He was consistent, attentive, calm, and reassuring throughout. No matter how many times we had to ask the same questions, he was always willing to patiently explain the next steps and what we should expect. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone looking to make a move on a new property.Andrew and Elizabeth H.

He was professional and explained various facets of the home buying process and was incredibly patient with us in a highly competitive market. As first-time home buyers, this was immensely important to us. He is a good negotiator and followed up promptly on every next step that needed to happen. He was super resourceful too with great recommendations for various services that we needed along the way. Working with Jarrod was a pleasure and we’d gladly recommend him to anyone looking to buy an apartment!Abhishek S.
Jarrod was great--so easy to work with, extremely communicative (which was very helpful for us as anxious first-time buyers), and never made us feel pressured or dumb for asking questions. If you're reading this, you probably know real estate--especially in New York City-- can be intimidating. Having someone like Jarrod, who is both knowledgeable and approachable, on your side during the process is invaluable. Jarrod was responsive every time we sent a listing and always got us in for a showing soon after. When we first started our search, we hadn’t decided on a neighborhood, and so he came with us all across Brooklyn and never seemed annoyed or inconvenienced. We ended up purchasing a co-op and he and his team were so helpful through the dreaded application and interview process. I would definitely recommend Jarrod to anyone looking for a place.Lauren K.
