Restaurant Week Comes to Chinatown
Pay attention Manhattan gourmands! Chinatown is hosting its very own Restaurant Week starting today. This is the first ever installment of Restaurant Week for this Lower Manhattan neighborhood, and it’s one that is long overdue: Chinatown’s restaurants serve some of the best authentic Chinese food in America. For $18.88, patrons of any of Chinatown’s participating restaurants will get a 3-course dinner. Over a dozen popular spots such as Nom Wah Tea Parlor and Golden Unicorn will participate, and during that week other neighborhood businesses will also offer discounts.
Sheldon Silver, an Assembly Speaker who represents Chinatown, put it best. He said in a statement that, “It is hard to imagine a more perfect neighborhood for Restaurant Week than our Chinatown community, home to some of our city’s greatest and more unique restaurants.” Residents of Manhattan apartments should take advantage of this unique opportunity, so if you want to get a full list of participating restaurants and all the relevant details, Village Voice has everything you need to know.
