Elegran Gets a Sneak Peak of the New Oriana
Last week, Elegran agents got the opportunity to visit The Oriana at 420 East 54th street. Oriana, which means “rising” in Latin, is an appropriate name for this building that has been given new life thanks to a stunning renovation that was launched to modernized the apartment and provide residents with the top luxury amenities.
Originally developed in 1982 as River Tower by real estate legend Harry Macklowe, The Oriana was considered the “it” building of the time, and it was once home to famed boxer Mike Tyson. While the building still maintains a lot of its original charm, the interior is in the process of being completely redone to welcome it into the 21st century.

For the adults, there is a comfy penthouse lounge with a fireplace that’s perfect for watching a movie or relaxing with a good book. There’s also a 24-hour white glove doorman and concierge, on-site garage with valet parking and additional storage.

Inside the renovated apartments residents will find numerous large windows to let in natural light, and a home that’s designed with both style and function in mind. The open kitchen features quartz countertops with a beautiful matte finish, along with a host of Bosh appliances, soft-close cabinets, a hidden microwave drawer, and a dishwasher that’s so quiet it can be hard to tell if it’s on or not.
