Niko East Village Brings a Rare Luxury Development to Alphabet City

Niko East Village is a recently completed residential building from L&M Development, who is also helming the massive Essex Crossing project located just a few blocks west of this beautiful new structure. The new project is located at 751 East 6th Street, between Avenues C and D, and was designed by the architects GF55. The 12-story building has a red brick exterior and the project has a total of 110 units which are spread over 114,422-square feet. Of these, 82 will be available at market rate, while 28 are affordable residences which were allocated through a lottery that closed in June and was open to people from various income brackets. Niko East Village represents a major shift for this East Village area, which has yet to see the development of many luxury rentals or condos.
The property will house a mixture or rental units and condos ranging from cozy alcove studios up to spacious three-bedroom units. Rents start at $2,800 a month and go up about $6000. All of the units have oversized windows equipped with solar shades and as there are few tall buildings surrounding it, many apartments offer spectacular views. The luxurious details include quartz countertops, white oak wood flooring, kitchens with stainless steel appliances and Grohe fixtures, and some units come with washers and dryers included. Some of the residences also feature their own private terraces and large walk-in closets and most of the rooms have elevated ceilings.
The contemporary amenities include a roof deck that boasts a barbeque area, lounge seating, and panoramic views. The second-floor houses a sophisticated lounge, an intimate terrace, and a fully-equipped fitness center. The common spaces include custom artwork and inviting niches. There will be a live-in superintendent, and the lobby will offer concierge services and will be attended part-time by a doorman. Residents will be able to enjoy the convenience of a bicycle storage and cold storage as well as a package room.
