Building Description

With the construction of The High Line and a wide array of old, unused industrial buildings, it is no surprise that Chelsea has become the spot of one Manhattan's largest construction booms. Modern 23, with its black brick, glass, and metal exterior, is a product of this modern housing boom, located on 350 West 23rd Street between 8th and 9th Avenue. It should be no surprise that Modern 23, like many of the other buildings near the High Line, is one of the most desirable condominiums in Chelsea. Floor to ceiling windows fill the Modern 23's loft-like residences with bursts of natural light. Some of the windows have sliding doors that open to Juliet balconies. Kitchens at Modern 23 feature high-end appliances from Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Asko. The kitchen is also lined with solid rift oak flooring which serves as a lovely complement to the gray oak cabinetry. This luxury and modern touch is seen throughout the rest of the apartment as well. Some units feature a gas-burning fireplace. Every unit in Modern 23 has Calcutta marble floors and a large Zuma soaking tub in its master bathroom. The intimate attended lobby at Modern 23 features a cyber doorman and key-lock elevators. Private balconies and terraces highlight some condos while every apartment in the building overlooks Chelsea's rear gardens which help provide a serene, relaxing environment to the Modern 23. The location of these condominiums is also difficult to beat. Located in the center of Chelsea, Modern 23 is just blocks away from some of the finest shops, nightlife, restaurants and parks that lower Manhattan has to offer. Even with so many new condominiums in Chelsea, Modern 23 manages to stand out from the rest of the pack thanks to its luxury and location.
