Roosevelt Island is a two-mile-long island on the East River, between Manhattan and Queens. It is primarily a residential community, but several major tech companies have been eyeing this area for their new home. The streets are mostly quiet, a change from the fast pace of the big city.
The beautiful green spaces of Roosevelt Island are second to none and remain a consistent draw for new residents. Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park is a beautifully designed memorial for the late president, and throughout the island’s residences, one can find unrivaled views of Midtown Manhattan and Queens. The island is far from isolated: both a separate tram and the F train can take you to Manhattan easily. Roosevelt Island is currently undergoing new developments and construction attempts to meet the ever-increasing demand.
