Worcester
Taking up the entire middle of Massachusetts, Worcester County is not only the largest county in the state (bigger than all of Rhode Island) but it’s one of only two counties to border three different neighboring states (Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire). All of that space makes it an ideal location to consider if you want to live in a centrally located region that puts New England at your fingertips.
At the heart of the county is the city of Worchester, where you’ll find a mixture of old and new architecture and neighborhoods. The city is said to have one of the top school systems in New England and a low crime rate, making it a popular destination for families. There’s also a strong mix of family homes and rental apartments to choose from. The surrounding region is dotted with hills full of outdoor fun, festivals, trails, and more.
