Born in Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey, Seth Podell made his way to Elegran – and back to the city he loves – after studying and working all over the world. A Susquehanna University graduate, Seth received his MBA from St. Mary’s University in London after a year of studying and work in London and four months of study in Bangkok, Thailand. Seth has worked in marketing for Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls and in sales for a major financial trading company before getting his real estate license and joining the team at Elegran. Seth prides himself in bolstering the business skills and negotiating acumen he learned in business school with the equally important human skills of listening and asking the right questions. “My goal is to find out what my clients are truly looking for, and then helping them find the perfect home in the greatest city in the world,” he says. Though he specializes in rentals and sales on the Upper East Side and Upper West Side, Seth is at home in any Manhattan neighborhood and has worked with clients from all walks of life, from artists to high-ranking military officials to financial executives.

Seth played on a Susquehanna soccer team that made the first NCAA appearance in school history, and still plays soccer – and just about any other type of sport – for fun during his spare time. He also loves to travel, watch Broadway shows, and enjoys eating – and cooking – Italian and Thai food.

Dear Mr. Rossi, I don’t often have the time or the inclination to write a letter of this type, but in this case I must make an exception. Last week I did an apartment search with Mr. Seth Podell, looking for a rental in Manhattan in the $7-8000 range. I currently live in Denver but have lived in Manhattan for many years. Mr. Podell was as competent at his job as anybody I have ever dealt with before in your business, I have bought and sold about 10 properties in the past few years. He was bright, pleasant, and most importantly, very knowledgeable in the specific needs that I had told him I required. As it happens, I did not take an apartment in that last trip to NY, but if I find that at this point in my life NY is where I belong I will use no other broker to purchase my eventual home there.
