Building Description

The Hotel Carlyle, with its peaked roof and its working gilded chimney, is an Upper East Side Art Deco landmark. The Hotel Carlyle, a striking yellow brick and limestone building, was completed in 1930 at 35 East 76th Street. The Hotel Carlyle was modeled after the Westminster Cathederal in London.
